The Dodoni Company Shows its Support for École Socrates-Démosthène
DODONI, S.A., is Greece’s leading feta cheese and dairy product manufacturer and a major contributor to the country’s economy.
During their recent business trip to Canada, the Company’s executives – along with the representative from MIRON GROUPE ALIMENTAIRE, DODONI’s exclusive distributor in Canada – visited the HCGM “Socrates-Démosthène” School, the largest trilingual Greek elementary school outside of Greece.
Both Constantine Ioakimidis and Vassilis Vrochidis, DODONI’s Business Development Director and Export Manager respectively, showed great enthusiasm and emotion when they visited the “Socrates-Démosthène” Socrates V Campus, in Laval. The visitors were thrilled when they were informed that the “Socrates- Démosthène” School has over 1,300 students of Greek origin, that follow the school’s Greek curriculum and thereby keep the Greek language, the culture, the customs and the traditions alive.
The visitors had the opportunity to walk around the campus’ facilities, to see the students in action and to speak with them. They observed the students communicating in Greek and realised that the “Socrates- Démosthène” School is a true ambassador of Hellenism in Quebec.
In a show of support for “Socrates-Démosthène”, the DODONI company decided to provide a scholarship to cover the tuition fees for a student with excellent academic performance that is in need of financial assistance. “It is a great honour for us to contribute to this excellent work and we hope to set an example for other Greek companies” stated the DODONI executives.
We congratulate the DODONI company representatives for their support of Greek Education and the “Socrates- Démosthène” School and we thank them for their generous contribution.
