In order to be eligible for election to the Board of Directors, one must:
- be eighteen (18) years of age;
- be an active Member of the Community at the time that he submits his nomination *
- not be a member of a governing body of another similar corporation or a parish community
Each elected director shall hold office for a term of three (3) years** and until the election of his successor, unless he shall resign or his office become vacant by death or otherwise.
The President shall hold office for no longer than three (3) consecutive Terms. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the outgoing President shall have the right at any time to submit his candidacy as a member of the Board of Directors, or to hold any office on the Executive Committee. He may be elected President again-after completion of two (2) consecutive Terms by the subsequent Board of Directors.
* Two Active Members of the Community can nominate another member of the Community to be a candidate in the election. This nomination (application) must be signed by the candidate stating that he is accepting same and should be received by the Election Committee at least fifteen (15) days before the election date.
** The election for the Board of Directors, the Regional Councils and the Audit Committee shall be held on the second (2nd) or third (3rd) Sunday of the month of June every three (3) years.
In order to be eligible for election to any Regional Council, one must:
- be eighteen (18) years of age;
- be a resident of the respective Region on the date of such election;
- be an active Member of the Community at the time that he submits his nomination *
- not be a member of a governing body of another similar corporation or a parish community
* Two Active Members of the Community can nominate another member of the Community to be a candidate in the election. This nomination (application) must be signed by the candidate stating that he is accepting same and should be received by the Election Committee at least fifteen (15) days before the election date.
