As one of the oldest performing art forms, the Greek Theatre must be developed and preserved among the Greeks of the Diaspora. In order to do this, members of the Hellenic Community are involved in the various areas of theatre, such as lighting, sound, costumes, and acting. The repertoire covers Ancient, Middle Age and Modern Greek Theatre.

The major activities of the Theatre Department are:

  • Organising, staging and presenting theatre productions.
  • Teaching the history and dramaturgy of various plays.
  • Introducing the subjects of scenery building, lighting and costume selecting for each play.
  • Organising and presenting lectures and exhibitions on various theatre related topics.
