December 23 – A “mountain” of toys is formed at the Head Office of the HCGM Hellenic Social Services of Quebec.

December 10 – “The Greeks – Agamemnon to Alexander the Great”; the world premiere of the largest exhibition on Ancient Greece ever produced in North America at Pointe-à-Callière Museum

December 4 – His Excellency George L. Markantonatos, the new Ambassador of Greece to Canada, visits the HCGM.

November 26 – Legendary Greek singer George Dalaras visits Campus Démosthène of École Socrates-Démosthène.

November 1 – The École Socrates-Démosthène Open House, a five-day event, offers an interactive way for parents to exchange with staff and obtain answers to any questions they may have.

October 14 – The Honourable Nicolas Sigalas, the new Consul General of Greece in Montreal, visits the HCGM.

October 2 – Students of École Socrates-Démosthène participate in the 3rd annual “Alexandria” cross-country race.

September 21 – The HCGM Cultural Institute’s “Orpheus” dance group participates in the Hampstead Centennial Parade.

September 5 – John Papageorgiou, École Socrates-Démosthène English teacher, takes the “Ice Bucket Challenge”.

August 15 – Eleni Fakotakis, HCGM’s HSSQ Director, speaks about food banks and other challenges on CBC’s Daybreak.

August 5 – We make headlines in Greece; The Greek daily newspaper “To Vima” publishes a story about the HCGM schools.

July 10 – The HCGM launches a petition to prevent the student transportation funding cuts proposed by the MELS.

June 16 – A farewell reception in honour of the Honourable Orestis-Thanos Kafopoulos, Consul General of Greece in Montreal.

June 9 – The HCGM Special General Meeting approves the agreement with the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Toronto – Canada.

June 8 – “Discovering Our Roots”; a stunning production by the HCGM Cultural Institute’s Folklore Workshop.

May 24 – The HCGM Cultural Institute’s Theatre Troup presents the stage play “Biological Immigrant” by Arkas.

May 14 – The Loganites Association donates the amount of $ 19,200 to the HCGM Fundraising Committee.

May 12 – The Europe Day Celebration at the HCGM, hosted by EU Ambassador, Her Excellenecy M.A. Coninsx, with the EU Montreal Consuls General.

April 10 – HCGM Platon-Omeros student, Spiros Dimitropoulos, is selected to represent the school at the Youth Parliament conference, in Greece.
