For more than 100 years, the HCGM has been in service to countless Montrealers of Greek heritage to provide charitable and educational services and preserve our Greek language, religion and culture.

As we look to the next 100 years, we recognize that a vibrant and engaged membership is an essential part of our community’s future. Through open and honest dialogue we can all help move our Hellenic community forward.

Eligibility & Benefits

Any person of Greek origin (on paternal and/or maternal side), 18 years or older, and who has been received into the Eastern Greek Orthodox Church through baptism and/or Chrismation, can become a member of the HCGM.

This also applies to any person married to a person of Greek origin, 18 years or older, AND who has been received into the Eastern Greek Orthodox Church through baptism and/or Chrismation.

Membership is for a period of (12) months from the date of registration.

The rights, privileges and benefits of membership come into full force thirty (30) days after registration, and are as follows:

  • speak and vote at all Community General Meetings and those of his or her Region
  • seek office on the Board of Directors or the Regional Council of his or her Region
  • be appointed to the Advisory Board
  • participate in any of the Community’s Committees

HCGM Membership has is Perks!

In addition to being entitled to exercise all of the rights, privileges and responsibilities of membership in the Community, the HCGM will be entering into an agreement with Perkopolis, an exclusive NO FEE managed discount, reward and benefits program, used by over 2,000 organizations across Canada.  The program will be activated for all HCGM members on February 14.
