Reconstruction of Koimisis tis Theotokou Church
We are pleased to inform you on the progress of Panagitsa’s reconstruction. Once the project started, our civil engineers observed that the existing foundations did not have the required reinforcements. As such, new directives were issued for the partial demolition of the existing foundations, in order to pour them anew and reinforce them as required.
On September 29th, segments of the foundations were demolished and preparations for the new footings had begun. These changes will not affect the reconstruction’s budget.
As well, all permits have been obtained and the reconstruction is on course, without any changes to the completion timeline.
To quell gossips and hearsays, we inform the people of our community that the disbursement of funds received by the insurance company is being done gradually and in accordance with the progress of the project.
