JOB DESCRIPTION
Appointed and mandated by the Executive Director of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal (CHGM), the General Director of Supplementary Education is responsible for managing all activities related to education, school life, internal and external outreach. Demonstrating a mobilizing leadership style, they hold authority over campus directors, services, and other staff members. Their visionary and strategic qualities enable them to ensure the continuous development of the organization while adhering to established guidelines. They make necessary decisions in the daily management of the institution, in line with the objectives, policies, regulations, and budgets approved by the Executive Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement online supplementary education in Greek language and culture.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and oversee all activities related to education, school life, internal and external outreach, and the general administration of the School.
  • Chair the School’s management committee.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional values and established performance requirements.
  • Promote and realize the educational mission of supplementary education.
  • Assume any other tasks that the General Director may assign or that are required by the needs of their position.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Education (B.Ed. or equivalent field).
  • Relevant undergraduate education in school management (administration).
  • At least 5 years of teaching experience.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a management position, including at least 2 years in an executive role within a school.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek educational environment, especially in the primary and secondary sectors, as well as private education.
  • Proficiency in Greek, English, and French (oral and written, an asset).
  • Demonstrate leadership, collegiality, and a unifying spirit.
  • Ability to establish a high-quality strategic plan.
  • Known for being an integral and respected individual.
  • Possess a highly developed ethical sense.
