Former President of HCGM Vasilios Katsambanis Passed Away

It is with great sorrow, we inform you that the former President of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal (HCGM), Vasilios Katsambanis, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024.

The late Vasilios Katsambanis was born in Dorio, Messinia, on July 14, 1946. He served as President of HCGM from 1996-1997, 2000-2002, and 2002-2004. During his tenure, he made significant contributions to the community and became especially beloved by its members.

Dr. George Tsoukas, President of HCGM, expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of Vasilios Katsambanis: “Vasilios was a dedicated leader whose contributions to our community will be profoundly missed. His efforts for the progress of our community will continue to inspire us all.”

The President of HCGM, the members of the Board of Directors, the employees, and the volunteers of the community extend their heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased. May God rest his soul.
