ANNOUNCEMENT 

Elections of the Hellenic Social Services of Quebec, 

Sunday, November 17, 2024

Dear fellow citizens, 

The elections for the new Board of Directors of Hellenic Social Services of Quebec will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the polling station: Mikri Vouli, 5777 Wilderton avenue Montreal Quebec, H3S 2K8.

Please be advised that in accordance with the By-Laws (Articles 5.9, 5.10 and 5.11), members of SSHQ wishing to vote in the November 17, 2024 election must meet the following requirements: 

  • Be 18 (eighteen) years of age or older and be a permanent resident of Quebec. 
  • Be active members (have fulfilled their financial obligations). 
  • If their membership has expired on election day, they will be able to pay their membership fee of $15 before or on election day only in cash or by certified cheque.

Eligibility for nomination

  • Members  interested in running for membership on the SSHQ Board of Directors in the November 17, 2024 election, pursuant to Article 6.2.3.4 of the Bylaws, must meet the following requirements: 
  • Candidates for the Board of Directors of SSHQ,, must be of Greek origin and must be over the age of 18 (eighteen years old).
  • They must be active members at the time of submitting their nomination, in accordance with paragraph 6.1.4.
  • If they are not active members and their membership has expired they must pay their membership fee at the time they submit their nomination. 
  • Not be a member (elected or appointed) of a board of directors, or committee of a similar and/or competing Greek organization, or other similar organization or parish.

All candidates must deliver their nomination form, signed by two active members of Social Services to the Election Committee no later than Friday, October 25, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the main office of the SSHQ community (5777 Wilderton).

Nomination forms can be picked up at the Community Social Services Head Office, 5777 Wilderton Avenue, Montreal Quebec, H3S 2V
