Montreal Regional Elections: Election Committee elected

On Sunday, January 8, 2023, a Special Regional General Assembly of the Montreal Region of the HCGM was held to elect the Election Committee that will conduct the new Montreal Regional Council elections on January 28, 2023.
The members of the Community were welcomed by President Dr. George Tsoukas, who, after wishing all members a “Happy New Year,” thanked everyone for their participation in the meeting.

Mr. Nikos Mavros was elected Chairman of the meeting, and publisher Christos Manikis was elected Secretary. A quorum was established at 3:31 pm. The meeting was also attended by community members from the Laval and South Shore regions without voting rights.

The following were elected to constitute the Election Committee:
– Vassilis Strapatsas
– Charalambos Babaroutsis
– Vicky Kompogianni
– Konstantinos Golfinopoulos
– Nikos Mavros

The Montreal Regional Election will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Adrian Maris Hellenic Community Centre, 5757 Wilderton. Candidate applications are available at the HCGM head office.

Detailed announcements from the Election Committee will follow. The committee’s first meeting will be held today, Monday, January 9, 2023, at 5:00 pm, for the election of their executive team.
