35th Annual St. Jean Baptiste Greek Festival, 2016
The annual St. Jean Baptiste Festival of the South Shore Region of the HCGM was a huge success. Hundreds of people attended the four-day festival and enjoyed an authentic Greek experience.
Among the visitors, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Honorable Gaétan Barrette, Quebec’s Health Minister, who said:
“It is St. Jean Baptiste. I would say that we, Quebecers, should take example by the Greek Community. Because that’s the way it would be celebrated. This is a really community event and the ambience that we have here, is exactly what I was expecting. Actually, it is my second time here and it is always a pleasure and I am very honored and happy that I have been invited.”
Aphrodite Stathopoulos, President of HCGM South Shore’s Regional Council said:
“Another South Shore festival completed! We could not have done it without our sponsors, our donors and our volunteers who helped with the BBQing, the service and the bar as well as the members of the Parent Committees “Socrates IV” and “Platon-Omeros”, the Women’s Auxiliary, the Church Committee and the South Shore Regional Council. And last but not least, Lenny. Their continued support made the South Shore Festival a success! GOOD JOB EVERYONE! A great big thank you and see you next year!!!”
The HCGM congratulates Aphrodite Stathopoulos and all the members of the Regional Council for their excellent work.
We thank the many donors and sponsors who helped make this year’s edition of the HCGM South Shore Region’s St. Jean Baptiste Festival, a huge success.
